worn garment4MY WELL WORN GARMENT by Marsha L. Newman
I too was once young……wearing an unwrinkled garment, a glide in my stride that would take me everywhere, with eyes that outshone the stars, and dreams to conquer all. Time…..days & years, heartbeats & silence, dancing with the enemy….. detours, shortcuts, blocked roads, and fallen bridges…….changes, interrupted journey…..life’s beautiful & sometimes hard lessons. Youth no longer wears my coat and the eye’s twinkle has dimmed……but, my garment has worn well…..not antique, definitely collectible. A light shines within and beneath my well-worn garment, remain the dreams, a collection of great adventures, a lifetime of gathered love & gratitude……..The heart of youth lives on and the eye is still on the sparrow. -Sunshine
